Mark Taplin
After graduating with first-class honours in History and German from Merton College, Oxford, I then completed a PhD in Modern History at the University of St Andrews. My research focus was early modern Switzerland. Between 1998 and 2011, I was on the editorial staff of the Scottish Parliament Official Report (‘Hansard’). Now, I work as a freelance editor and German-English translator, specializing in academic texts.
